KULGAM, AUGUST 16: Commissioner Secretary, Revenue, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri today paid a visit to Kulgam district and reviewed the overall developmental scenario of the district.

During the visit, the Commissioner Secretary, who is also the incharge Secretary for Kulgam district, chaired a meeting with senior officers of the district and took detailed review and stock of financial and physical status of various ongoing work projects in the district. He also assessed the progress on implementation of various Centrally sponsored schemes in the district in the meeting.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat, ADDC, ADC, SDM, D.H.Pora, JD-Planning, CMO, CEO Executive Engineers from PHE,PDD, Tehsildars, Pathwaris and other concerned officers.

Addressing the officers during the meeting, the Commissioner Secretary directed them to expedite the pace of work on all ongoing projects for their timely completion so that they can be dedicated to public for use.

While reviewing status of Digitization of Jamabandis in the district, the Commissioner Secretary was informed that the process of Digitization of Jamabandies is going on and 168 Jamabandis out of 273 have been completed.

He appreciated the staff involved in Digitization of Jamabandies and working dedicatedly in digitization process.

During the meeting, Bidhuri also reviewed progress made on implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission in the District.

The Commissioner Secretary was informed that there are 140 schemes under Jal Jeevan Mission going on in the district with.

Commissioner Secretary emphasized upon the officers that every effort has to be made to ensure that the goal of tap water to all households must be achieved as per the projected timeline.

During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner briefed the chair that there are 2534 works in district plan including 427 ongoing works and all new works stands tendered and allotted and more than 200 works out of 427 ongoing works were completed.

The DC also apprised the chair that Aspirational Block plan has been finalized and all works have been accorded.
