Students pursuing different courses at Government College of Education MA Road Srinagar Saturday alleged that the ‘rude’ behavior of the College Principal has been giving them sleepless nights. They said the current Principal who assumed charge of the College recently is very strict and humiliates every student without taking anything into consideration.

“I was humiliated and harassed in front of over 200 students by the Principal when I was looking for the attendance sheet in the auditorium. To face humiliation has become a norm in the College,” a B.Ed student of 2nd Semester told news agency Kashmir News Trust.

Over 700 adult students have been pursuing B.Ed, M.Ed, and other courses in the College. The college is mostly dominated by the girl students. “Girls taunt the male students when the Principal roars over them. This is so disgusting. I am mentally disturbed,” said that victim student adding that almost every student is terrified in college.

He said other students are silent as they are scared of the reprisals. “In this modern era, you can’t insult a 30-year-old student to satisfy your ego. This has to stop,” the victim student said.

Despite repeated attempts, the Principal of the College didn’t pick up the phone. (KNT)
