A parked ambulance with no one on board accidentally skidded off the road and submerged into the river Chenab in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday morning.
 
Police sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that 108 Ambulance from Medical Block Padder of District Kishtwar submerged into river Chenab near Ganpat Bridge Doda.
 
They said the driver had parked the ambulance for some maintenance work but accidentally skidded off the road and fell into the river.
 
Sources added that nobody was present in the ambulance at the time of the mishap.
 
Doda Police has taken cognizance of the incident whereas rescue teams from SDRF and Police have pressed into service to locate the submerged ambulance. (KNT)
