Ganderbal police recovered abducted minor girl within hours, kidnapper arrested

GANDERBAL: On 13/06/2022 at 2100 hours, Police Post Nagbal received a written complaint from one Hajra Begum W/O Gul Sheikh R/O Shuhama Nagbal regarding abduction of her granddaughter age 12 years (name withheld). In this connection a Case FIR No. 162/2022 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Ganderbal and further investigation set into motion.

During the course of investigation the special Police team led by DO Nagbal SI Fayaz Ahmad while acting swiftly, raided various suspected places for recovery of the abducted girl. After strenuous efforts the Police team recovered the abducted minor girl in Srinagar at Nehru Park within hours and also arrested the accused kidnapper.
