DIPR hosts cultural program at district Jail Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, JUNE- 10: As a part of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav and to celebrate 150th birth anniversary of Shri Aurobindo, the Cultural Wing of Department of Information & Public Relations  in collaboration with District Information Centre, Udhampur organized a cultural programme in the premises of District Jail Udhampur.

Superintendent District Jail Udhampur, Harish Kotwal was the chief guest while Assistant Commandant CRPF, Satish Sihag was the guest of honour on the occasion.

 While addressing the participants, the Chief Guest hailed the information department for presenting cultural programme on Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav and150th birth anniversary of Shri Aurobindo. He appreciated Information Department for raising awareness through the cultural activities and urged the Department to hold more such events in future as well.

Artists of the Cultural Wing Jammu and District Information Centre, Udhampur, including Kamal Kumar, Amit Kumar, Mohinder Kumar, Rakesh Kumar, Balbir Singh, Banti Kumar, Surjit Singh presented a scintillating musical program featuring patriotic and Folk songs which were highly appreciated by jail inmates with repeated rounds of applause.

The proceeding of the programme was conducted by Suresh Kumar.
