DC Ramban reviews performance of Banks, allied Departments

RAMBAN, JUNE 02: Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Mussarat Islam today reviewed the performance of Banks while chairing District Level Review Committee (DLRC) meeting of bankers and officers of line departments.

The Deputy Commissioner directed the bankers to extend banking facilities to uncovered areas by using digital modes of banking like ATM service besides sensitizing the people especially about schemes pertaining to the banking sector.

The meeting was attended by the Chief Planning Officer, Dr. Kasturi Lal, GM DIC Vishwajeet, Lead District Manager, Abdul Rashid Sofi, Cluster Head JK Bank,   CHO, DSHO, CAHO, DSWO, AD Fisheries, Bankers and various senior officers.

Threadbare discussion was held on achievements of the banking sector in deposits and advances besides status of loan cases sponsored by different departments under different self employment schemes.

 The Deputy Commissioner, who is also the Chairman of DLRC, emphasized on timely disbursement of loan cases. He called for achieving 100% target in the implementation of youth and self-employment oriented schemes besides lending under priority sectors like Agriculture, MSME, Housing and Education.

The Deputy Commissioner also took stock of the bank wise deposits, advances and the CD Ratio targets.  It was informed in the meeting that the CD Ratio registered an increase of 1.97% and stood at 53.04%, till March end, while Rs. 241.69 crore were expended on the priority sector as against a target of Rs 479.04 crore i.e 50% of  ACP 2021-22 ending  March 2022.

The Deputy Commissioner directed the LDM and other Departments to use social media platforms for disseminating information about their schemes especially pertaining to youth and women folk.

On the occasion SBI, Rural Self Employment Training Institute also released Annual Activity report 2021-22.
