The cycle of target killings is going in Kashmir which is a matter of concern for all of us. Now women folk is not spread. Take the example of the latest killing of a lady Ambree Bhat.
Ambreen Bhat, from Budgam district was killed on spot and whole society is clueless about the reasons behind her killing on May 25 evening.
Her nephew was also hit in the arm in this unfortunate incident.
According to the police, three Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) men were involved in this heinous terror incident. In the same district ( Badgam) the killing of Kashmiri Pandit Rahul Bhat took palce. The cold-blooded murder of Rahul Bhat has enraged the Kashmiri Hindus. All sections of the society including muslims condemned this heinous murder. Though security forces are able to neutralise the ultra who are involved in these target killings but it seems that a policy that focuses on elimination of militants alone is less. As has been rightly said by analysts that militancy in Kashmir is a revolving door that produces more recruits for each one that is killed in an encounter.
More than a dozen civilians have been killed in the last few months, including cops, panchayat members, members of the minority community and non-locals. Militants usually use small arms to carry out target killings. Security forces have recovered huge quantity of small arms during different raids.
Recovery of small arms like on routine basis is an indication that Pakistan has started a full fledged operation of target killings and they achieve it too in accordance to their will and time of their choosing.

The process of supply of arms is going on along with a strong indictable network of part time militants who are more lethal and effective than than those who use to announce their affiliations by uploading photos and vedio on social media sites.

is now showing its actual colors. On the other hand Pakistan has been successful in taking Kashmir to global platforms despite efforts to combat the propaganda. Before commencement of armed war against India in Kashmir, Jammat-i-Islam and Maqbool Bhat’s Libration Front poisoned thousands of young minds trough intellectual efforts who later stood against India with arms and ammunition. It was Jammat Islami’s which established Kashmir Jihad through its armed wing Hizbul Mujahideen. Behind armed Hizbul Mujahideen it was Intellectual Jammat Islami which managed collapse of writ of the Government in 90’o. From that time till now Pakistan is engaged in dangerous game of Narrative against India. The worst phase of Militancy was started afresh by Pakistani propaganda machinery through Burhan Wani who was not merely a terrorist but was projected as a hero by Pakistan through its media and propaganda machinery. Even Kashmir based media was ahead of Pakistan media in glorification of Burhan wani. We believe that ISI was in full control over hundreds of media agencies in Kashmir till recent times.
One of the Pakistani newspaper even compared Wani with Che Guevara, a legendary freedom fighter. The people who are wanted in serious acts of barbaric terrorism in India are termed as heroes in the neighboring country. The neighbor have inflicted upon the Kashmiris. Over more than 30 years yet it tries to prove itself as a great sympathizer of Kashmiris through its propaganda tools.
This “Killing spree” gives rise to a big question. For whom is this all being done? It certainly is not for us. Judging by the way things are going it looks a little less then impossible that we would be alive by the time a result emerges. And if by chance should anybody survive, what would he survive for?
The Kashmir conflict came with certain implications of its own. The primary implication was that we Kashmiri have turned pre-judgmental with pre-conceived notions of none but our own. We have become masters in passing judgements, irrespective of what the facts are? Our foolish actions whether Intentional or Un-Intentional prepare the grounds for elimination of “The Truth” & the “Truthful”.
For the last three decades we have been with huge success facilitating complete genocide of a rare race, a race more distinct than any other, with a culture, tradition & heritage of its own.
And now for the big question!
How long shall we continue to be pawns for others & fight their wars?
Such incidents will continue to happen until we acknowledge the truth.
And the truth is that it is none other than us who facilitated these tragedies by maintaining complete silence over such killings. Silence favors the preparator and it helps the killers to go for the next killing. Society need to come forward against these killings as soon as possible . In case we will continue to prefer silence over these brutalities then tomorrow we will also be targeted.
