Gunfight breaks out in north Kashmir’s Baramulla

The number of trapped militants was not immediately known.
Srinagar May 25: A gunfight broke out between militants and security forces in Kreeri area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday.

“Encounter has started at Najibhat crossing in Kreeri area of #Baramulla. Police and Army on job. Further details shall follow, ” a police spokesman said.

The encounter is believed to have broken out after security forces cordoned the area following a tip off about the presence of militants.
The number of trapped militants was not immediately known.
