The incident occurred on Sunday at Jada village falling in the jurisdiction of police station Karnah in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district, sources from Power Development Department told news agency
 
They said that 38-year-old Muhammad Khalid, son of Raja Naseem, a resident of Kandi became another addition to the long list of on-duty casual laborers working in the Power Development Department (PDD) to have lost life. The victim was electrocuted to death while repairing an electric transformer.
 
Sources in PDD said that over 80 daily wagers have been electrocuted to death in the past decade. (KNT)
