BJP JK spokesman Altaf Thakur, BDC chairman Abdul Ahad participate ‘Mudasir Farooq in event; Local Auqaf committee demands mecdamisation of roads, restoration of Irrigation plant, health centres in area; Trio assures fast track redressal
Srinagar, May 17: A computer lab was inaugurated by Sarpanch Muhammad Shafi Wani at Gooripora in Awantipore area of Pulwama district at government high school Gooripora.
Wani was accompanied by BJP JK spokesman Altaf Thakur and chairman BDC Awantipore Abdul Ahad. The school administration hailed Wani’s decision of inaugurating the much awaited lab for the school children stating that the move will help in a long way to educate children digitally and help them compete in the digital world. The lab was announced by the Sarpanch a few months ago. Speaking on the occasion, Wani and Thakur said that BJP was committed to ensure that in the digital India, Kashmir shouldn’t lag behind and that every children should have access to computers to compete at national and international levels
Later, various delegations and the Auqaf committee Padgampora met Wani, Thkur and Ahad and put forth three major demands that include immediate mecdamisation of roads, restoration of irrigation plant and setting up of health centres stating that the area comprises 500 households and yet they were lagging behind on many fronts.
Sarpanch Wani, BJP JK spokesman, and BDC chairman gave them a patient hearing and assured them that the demands put forth by them will be taken up with the concerned officials and addressed within a stipulated time frame.
