UDHAMPUR, APRIL-30:- Department of Environmental Sciences, Government Degree College Majalta today organized an extension lecture on the topic “Best practices for safe web browsing” in continuation to a series of events under “Cyber Jagrukta Diwas.
The programme was held under the patronship of Dr. B B Anand, Principal GDC Majalta. He formally welcomed the resource person. While his address he said “In the contemporary world internet has become a part of our life and it is beneficial to many aspects of our life like learning, teaching, buying products online etc”. In his address he added that it is our duty to educate the masses how to prevent cyber threats/ risks.
Amit Singh, Assistant Professor in Computer Sciences, GDC RS Pura delivered an informative lecture. He enlightened students about secure sites, virtual keyboards and keyloggers. He advised them that periodic changing of passwords can save one from cyber frauds.
Meanwhile, Dr. Neha Sharma, HoD Department of Environmental Sciences carried out the programme via online mode.
