KATHUA, APRIL 28: A tree plantation drive was today organized by the Income Tax Office, Kathua in collaboration with Department Of Physical Educations, Government Degree College here on the College Campus.
The drive was organized as a part of a series of activities being undertaken by the Income Tax Department under the aegis of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”, a flagship programme of Government of India to celebrate and commemorate the 75 years of Indian Independence.
The tree plantation drive was organized to evolve a clean environment as well as a safe future for coming generations and also the safety of the earth.
Students and staff of the College, officials of Income Tax Office and the members of CA Association, Kathua participated in the drive organized under the supervision of Pr. Commissioner of Income Tax, Srinagar, M.P. Singh and Addl. Commissioner of Income Tax, Range-1, Jammu, Baljeet Kaur.
Principal, GDC Kathua Prof. Raj Kiran explained the need of plants for present as well as for future generations for having a clean environment, safety of earth etc.
Income Tax Officer, Kathua, M.B. Raizada also spoke on the occasion.
