DC listens to issues of people at Kulgam, redresses scores of grievances on spot
KULGAM, APRIL 20: In order to take first hand appraisal of issues and grievances for redressal, the District Administration Kulgam today organized Mega Block Diwas in 3 blocks of the district viz. Devsar, Kulgam and D. H. Pora.
On the occasion, Officers and officials from line departments listened to issues, grievances and demands of the public for timely redressal at all the three venues.
Meanwhile, to take first hand appraisal of public grievances and demands, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr.Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat remained available at Kulgam where he listened to grievances and issues of people for redressal.
People from Qaimoo, Behibagh, Frisal, Tangmarg, Hallan, Pombay, Kulgam, and other adjoining areas apprised the DC about various issues and put forth their demands.
A delegation from Wanpora demanded for upgradation of high school to higher secondary school and development of the remaining portion of Wanpor to Nabal road. Another delegation from Kader demanded augmentation of Water supply scenario in the area.
A Delegation from Bugam put forth demanded to raise protection bund at Mav kul bund. Besides, another youth delegation demanded a playfield at Srandoo.
People from Denow demanded to start work on the receiving station, while a delegation from the Bugam area demanded macadamisation on Bugam Parigam road.
DDC member Frisal also raised several developmental issues and requirements of his area.
BDC member Qaimoo and other PRI members also put forth various issues and grievances of their area for redressal.
A delegation from GujjarBasti Malvan demanded construction of a road for GujjarBasti.
Officers on spot responded to the queries and issues pertaining to their departments.
The DC after giving patient hearing to the public issues and grievances redressed scores of the grievances on the spot.
Meanwhile, ADDC Riyaz Ahmad Sofi and SDM Noorabad also remained present at block Devsar and D.H.Pora, where they listened to the public at their door steps.
