BARAMULLA, FEBRUARY 15: The Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Baramulla, Zahoor Ahmad Raina today chaired a meeting of the concerned officers to review the functioning of District Red Cross Society.
On the occasion, many points came under discussion wherein ADC impressed upon the officers that they should put in all their efforts for contribution towards the Red Cross fund so that District Red Cross Society gets further strengthened.
The ADC said that proper utilization of funds under Red Cross will help the weaker sections of the society especially poor, destitute, and orphan and widows
He exhorted the concerned to intensify the efforts for conducting of different welfare programmes including blood donation camps and conducting of awareness camps in schools, colleges besides in the general public in order to make them understand the importance of their contribution in Red Cross Society.
District Social Welfare Officer Showkat Ahmad Showkat, Accounts Officer, Showkat Ali Khan, Dy. SP’s of Baramulla and Sopore, Deputy Education Officer, District Health Officer besides other officers and volunteers were present in the meeting.
