JAMMU, FEBRUARY 05, 2022: Criticizing the J&K Govt, Apni Party State General Secretary Vikram Malhotra Saturday urged Lt Governor Manoj Sinha to review withdrawal order of the posts which were referred to the J&K Public Service Commission and Services Selection Board before October 31, 2019 for recruitment.

Addressing a press conference here in Apni Party Office at Gandhi Nagar, Malhotra – accompanied by Provincial President Jammu Women Wing, Namrta Sharma, Provincial Secretary Dr Rohit Gupta and State Vice President Youth Wing Raqeeq Ahmed Khan – raised serious questions on the withdrawal of the advertised posts which were referred to J&K Public Service Commission and J&K Services Selection Board for recruitment.

“The decision to withdraw advertised posts was taken by the Govt in an arbitrary and theocratic manner pushing the unemployed towards the darkness,” said Malhotra addressing the media.

He said that the Govt should reconsider its decision and continue the process of recruitment for the youth on the posts referred to the PSC and SSB.

“It seems the bureaucracy has misled the Govt with regard to the ground situation about J&K’s unemployment which is highest ever in comparison to the rest of the country,” he said.

He said that “Same bureaucracy does not want assembly polls in J&K leading to its delay time and again without justification because the suffering of people has worsened with every passing day.”

“The bureaucracy J&K working under direct control of BJP and creating hurdles instead of providing hassle free governance to the people by deviating from the factual situation and delaying elections,” he alleged.

He said that “False promises of good governance were made and submission of draft report of delimitation commission to its members had created hopes for elections but it seems the desires of the general masses may not be considered with minimum chance of holding early assembly elections in J&K.”

The people are confronting with many issues and the Govt seems directionless how to handle these growing issues, he said and alleged that the issues of daily wagers, 4th class employees pending list, vocational teachers, Anganwadi workers issue and yesterday’s withdrawal of posts by Govt has further added salt to the wounds of the unemployed youth.

He said that bureaucracy is not working to provide facilities or employment as a welfare state but they are working against the basic ethos of the constitution of the country.

“It seems the state did not exist before August 5, 2019. The behaviour adopted by the present Govt has shown a very insensitive attitude towards the youth of J&K,” he said again referring to the withdrawal of the posts.

He again raised the issue of Assistant Information Officers while saying that notification for their recruitment was issued in 2006-2008-2010 and accordingly interviews were conducted but the issue went to the court.

“Those aspirants have become over aged,” he said while grilling the Govt for their rhetoric of creating employment in the private sector which are hardly visible in J&K.

He said that in J&K majority of the youth are dependent upon the Govt jobs and the same is not being provided by the Govt by denying them their constitutional right.

“An elected Govt can do justice with the people of J&K without discrimination. However, it requires assembly elections which are being delayed delicately with active involvement of bureaucracy as they do not want elections,” he said.

He said that “The babus want to remain powerful and hence, they are creating obstacles by creating false situations in the way of holding assembly elections.”

He urged for the immediate intervention of the Prime Minister, Union Home Minister and Lt Governor for the overall review of the situation with regard to governance and growing unemployment due to grave negligence of the bureaucracy.

He urged for holding assembly polls as early as possible in J&K for the redressal of issues and equitable development.

He questioned weekend lockdown with selective approach which is affecting the business and urged Govt to hold a holistic view so that business men do not suffer under the grab of covid19 restrictions.
