Today people of the Machhal bowl along with troops of Machhal Garrison celebrated 73rd Republic day with great Zeal and enthusiasm . A total of 117 locals , which included Sarpanch , Numberdars , Tehsildar, J & K police , school children of the Machhal Bowl attended the the function.The participation of locals despite inclement weather and snow bears testimony to the patriotic fervor amongst local population. They expressed their support and solidarity to nation and the Indian Army .To showcase sense of patriotism National flag was hoisted at the following places
– Machhal Garrison
– Machhal high school
– Machhal masjid
– Machhal tehsil office
Apart from flag hoisting following program was conducted
– wreath laying at Maratha Smirthi sthal to honor the war heros and martyr
– March past by NCC Students
– cultural program by the children of the Machhal school
This celebration installed a sense of patriotism among the local population especially children and strengthen the bond between the Indian Army and the local Populace.
