JK reports 123 new positive cases

India logs 26,041 fresh Covid cases, active cases at 2,99,620, lowest in 191 days

SRINAGAR, DECEMBER 31: The  Government today informed that 123 new positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19), 58 from Jammu division and 65 from Kashmir division, have been reported today, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 341290.Also, 02 COVID deaths have been reported; 01 from Jammu Division and 01 from Kashmir Division.

Moreover, 78more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 17from Jammu Division and 61 from Kashmir Division.

The Bulletin informs that no new case of Mucormycosis has been reported today, thus the total number of confirmed cases remains 50 across J&K..

On COVID vaccination, the bulletin informs that 75,235doses of COVID vaccine have been administered in the last 24 hours bringing the cumulative number of doses administered across J&K to 1,85,67,399.

According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Corona virus (Covid-19), out of 341290 positive cases, 1337are Active Positive (422in Jammu Division and 915in Kashmir Division), 335425 have recovered and 4528 have died; 2199 in Jammu division and 2329 in Kashmir division.

The Bulletin further said that out of 19324606 test results available, 341290 samples have tested positive and 18983316 samples have been tested as negative till date. Besides, 65,866 COVID tests have been conducted in last 24 hours.

Till date 5212281 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 7816persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 1337 in isolation and 432392 in home surveillance. Besides, 4766208 persons have completed their surveillance period.

Providing district-wise breakup for positive cases reported today, the Bulletin said that Srinagar reported 35 cases, Baramulla reported 12 cases, Budgam reported 05 cases, Pulwama reported 05 cases, Kupwara reported 04 cases, Anantnag reported no case, Bandipora reported no cases, Ganderbal reported 04 cases while as Kulgam and Shopian reported no fresh case for today.
