National Unity Day was observed with full fervour, on the birth anniversary of the Architect of India’s Unity and Integrity, “Iron Man of India” Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Units and offices of Srinagar Sector CRPF paid humble tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and took the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas pledge to foster and reinforce CRPF’s dedication towards strengthening the unity, integrity, and security of the nation. On the occasion, a Run for Unity was organised by 118Bn from Gund to Sonmarg which saw very enthusiastic participation from civilians. Also, under the Ilm-e-Rozgar program of Srinagar Sector, CRPF, a career guidance/advice session was held where Dr. Satyaveer Verma, Commandant, 118Bn, SSP Ganderbal Sh. Nikhil Borkar, and Addl. SP Sh. Firoz Yahia interacted with the students and gave them valuable career guidance. Subsequently, books and study materials to prepare for CAPF examination was distributed to the students. Under the Ilm-e-Rozgar programme, so far, thousands of youngsters, to prepare for CAPF and other competitive examinations, have enrolled themselves to avail of free online coaching conducted by CRPF.
