In continuation of its efforts to build stronger bonds, relationships and also give an opportunity to the children from Far Flung area of Lolab, Army Camp Gujjarpatti organised a picnic for young children thus fulfilling the much awaited demand of the locals. Keeping the prevailing COVID situation in mind and following all guidelines, the picnic was organised near Kaingur Dam from 1000 hrs on 28 Sep 2021 in which more than 30 children participated. The children were served with refreshments and also given Masks which they loved wearing. The event started with a short trekking followed by games and other playful activities to constructively engage the children. The event culminated by serving lunch to the children which they enjoyed having alongside the nature.
It was an extremely wonderful and educative experience as mentioned by their parents. They also thanked Army for providing such an opportunity allowing them to interact with so many people in uniform. Local populace expressed their gratitude towards the Army. Such efforts will certainly be a push towards sustained overall relationship between AWAM and Jawan thus providing more such avenues for people of Wadi-e-Lolab in future.
