Ganderbal, Aug 29: Run for Fun event was organised by Indian Army’s 24 RR unit in Ganderbal to commemorate the 2nd anniversary of the National Sports Day, celebrated in remembrance of the hockey legend, Major Dhyan Chand.
Continuatinuing its endeavour towards constructive engagement of local youth and to inculcate and channelize spirit of positive energy RUN FOR FUN was organised by Ganderbal based 24 Bn RR (Bihar) at Gadoora.
The aim of the event was to encourage, inspire youth to generate awareness on physical fitness and sports among the youth.
The event witnessed an active participation of 180 kids and youth with great zeal and enthusiasm.
Winners were felicitated with prizes and certificates. Refreshment was also provided to the participants who enjoyed the run and expressed their gratitude to the Commanding Officer, Col. DV Reddy for this fitness endeavour taken up by 24 RR.
