A Naka was established at Mirhama by the police party of Police Station Kulgam led by SHO Kulgam Insp. Abdul Ahad under the supervision of DySP HQR Kulgam Shri. Ghulam Muhamad Bhat-JKPS. During checking one Motorcyclist identified as Showkat Ahmad Zargar S/O Bashir Ahmad Zargar a resident of Lirow was stopped for checking and During his personal search 200 grams of Charas like substance was recovered from his possession. He was arrested; Contraband substance and vehicle bearing registration Number JK18B-8001 used in commission of crime were seized.
Regarding the incident case with FIR No.141/2021 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act stand registered at Police station Kulgam and investigation has been taken up.
General public is requested to come forward with any information regarding Drug peddling/anti-social activity in their vicinity and extend their cooperation to Police Kulgam in eradicating the drug menace from the society as Drugs are consuming the precious lives and career of our young generation.
