‘Students feeling overburdened after spending five hours on mobile screen’
Parents of the students studying in Delhi Public School (DPS) Srinagar on Tuesday urged the administration to reduce the time period of online classes saying the students are being overburdened and have to spend nearly five hours on mobile screen.
The parents told the news agency that not only DPS but other schools should also revise the timetable for online classes in accordance with the guidelines of World Health Organization (WHO) to conduct online classes.
“Currently, the primary standard students of DPS Srinagar on an average spend nearly five hours a day on mobile phones to attend approximately eight online classes. That much of time is overburdened on students and the administration should reconsider the timetable,” said one of the parents.
The parents also said that the online classes usually commence at 8Pm and the students are not getting enough time to sleep. When contacted to DPS chairman, Vijay Dhar was not available to comment over the issue
