SRINAGAR, APRIL 27: Vice Chancellor, Cluster University of Srinagar, Prof. (Dr.) Qayyum Husain today paid his first visit, since assuming the charge, to the Abdul Ahad Azad Memorial Degree College Bemina.
He was received by esteemed Prof. (Dr.) Nasreen Aman, the Principal, and the senior faculty members of the college.
The Vice Chancellor visited different departments of the college and interacted with faculty and non teaching staff in order to take first hand information regarding the existing academic and infrastructural scenario in the campus and the future prospects for improving upon the academic life in the college.
The Vice chancellor besides identifying space for the construction of a VC Lodge emphasized upon creating separate sports and other facilities for girls students and also explored the possibilities of starting research activities in the University.
He was apprised by Principle Prof Nasreen Aman apprised regarding different ongoing projects and future plans to create a quality academic atmosphere in the college.
Later, Vice Chancellor emphasized upon the need for observing strict Covid related SOPs in the campus while discharging official responsibilities in order to keep the virus at bay.
