DC Bandipora hosts farewell to accord warm send off to retiring officers

BANDIPORA, MARCH 31: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmad Wednesday hosted a farewell to bid adieu to two Executive Engineers- Abdul Hamid (R&B) and Mustahsan Sahaf (I&FC Sumbal) who attained superannuation on 31st March 2021 after discharging their duties for over three decades.

Additional District Development Commissioner Afsar Ali Khan, Additional Deputy Commissioner Zahoor Ahmad Mir, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Reyaz Ahmad Beigh, Joint Director Planning Imtiyaz Ahmad, district heads of various departments and other concerned were present on the occasion.

While acknowledging the outstanding contribution of the officers, the DC conveyed his best wishes to the retiring officers and prayed for his good health and success post retirement.

Dr Owais Ahmad, appreciated the efforts put in by both the Engineers in their respective fields for over one year while their postings in Bandipora. He endorsed that outgoing R&B Engineer has ensured highest macdamisation during 2020-21 in Bandipora.

At the same time DPRs for Irrigation projects under PMKSY in Sumbal division have been prepared and submitted successfully by the retiring Executive Engineer I&FC Sumbal on the last day of the duties within a short span of time.

He opined that post retirement life could be dedicated for the betterment of society and they can continue to use their skills to help the society in their particular profession. Officers appreciated them for their dedication and honesty during their three-decade service career.

The officers thanked all their colleagues for their support and cooperation during their tenure in the department.

On the occasion, the DC  presented gifts and mementos to retiring officers as a token of appreciation on behalf of the district administration.

Meanwhile the Department of Education also hosted a warm send off to its retiring officers including Principal Higher Secondary School Hajin Mohammad Shafi Bhat and ZEPO Hajin Showkat Ahmad Din. The CEO Bandipora Javid Iqbal conveyed his best wishes to the retiring officers and prayed for their good health and success post retirement.
