Shab-e-Mehraj arrangements finalized at Ganderbal
GANDERBAL, MARCH 08: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal, convened a meeting of officers to finalize arrangements put in place for the celebration of Shab-i-Mehraj here today.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Farooq Ahmad Baba, CMO, Executive Engineers of various departments, all Tehsildars, AD Fisheries, AD, FCS&CA and other concerned officers.
On the occasion, DDC directed the concerned to ensure all the necessary facilities are put in place for the devotees who are expected to visit the shrines of the district on Shab-i-Mehraj so that they may not face any issues.
The DC directed the concerned officers to ensure availability of uninterrupted water and power supply, essential commodities, healthcare, cleanliness and illumination in and around the shrines, proper transportation, parking facility and other related facilities.
He also directed for cleanliness around all congregation sites and installation/repairing of street lights wherever required.
The DDC directed the Tehsildars to intensify marking checking in their jurisdiction and take stringent action against the shopkeepers found involved in black marketing and profiteering of essential commodities.
