Ganderbal Police in its offensive against drug peddlers, a routine naka was laid at Peerpora Ganderbal. During naka checking one person namely Gulzar Mohd Saed @Gul Saed S/O Ghulam Mohd Saed R/O Narayanbagh Shadipora was found roaming in suspicious manner and subsequently intercepted by the Naka Party and put to frisking in which 900 gms of Bung Powder like substance wrapped in Polythene and cash amount of rupees 240500 was recovered from his possession. The accused person was apprehended, contraband consignment and cash was seized on spot.
In this regard a Case FIR No. 03/2021 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act stands registered in Police Station Ganderbal and investigation has been taken up to nab more culprits.
Locals of the area have hailed the Police action & are expecting that this type of action against drug menace shall continue in future also.
