DRAS, a leading Agricultural Research Organization on Friday honoured Dr Feroz! A Shah, a senior Scientist at Kashmir’s Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology (SKAUST-K) with prestigious ‘Award of Excellence in Research 2020’ for his remarkable work in the field of Agriculture.
The award was conferred on Dr Feroz A Shah, in presence of Uttar Pradesh Agriculture Minister, during the National webinar on prospective priorities and preparedness of sustainable Agriculture in India which was held on December 28-29.
Hailing from the South Kashmir’s historical town of Doru Shahabad, Dr Shah has done his Doctorate degree in Fish Disease from the University of Kashmir in 2006. He is currently heading the SKAUST-K’s Division of Aquatic Animal Health Management and is pioneer in establishing the first Fish Hospital in Jammu and Kashmir.
Apart from being an exceptional scientist with research work published in many National and International Journals, Dr Shah is close to Kashmiri literature and is often penning Kashmiri language Sufi poems.
